Editorial Style Guide

If you are a researcher or an author thinking of sending material to the APRIL project, please format your text along the lines of our preferred style in terms of capitalisation, punctuation, formatting, roman, bold and italic type, quotation formats, and general usage: it saves time and misunderstandings, and helps us to present your text clearly.

Our preferred style is outlined in the 20-page guide available on the Jacket magazine site. It has evolved over a decade and some six thousand printed pages of poetry-related material, and represents basic good editorial practice for internet publication. You can find it here:
